constant deep vaginal pain? anyone else?? TAH on 3.19

I have this annoying and constant deep vaginal pain. It feels like something pushing on the muscles between the vagina and the rectum, when I lay down for a while it eases off some. is this a part of the healing process, i have been completely cleared by the doctor, not sure if I should see surgeon or regular doctor. I have a lot of constipation but I try really hard not to push> but maybe that is related somehow... any ideas anyone....

louise, I am dealing with this, too, and I do not know any more than you do. I have found that if I put a pillow under my knees when I lie down or sleep it does help. I also have problems sitting. If I overextend, it feels like stiches in that area are stretching out and pulling. It puts me on edge and really is limiting. Le me know if you find out anything.

I do find that stool softeners everynight ease the pressure there. Did you have a rectocele before? I did and I think part of the repair work might be to blame.

Best wishes, Margie

(((Scared Louise)))
This pain could be a sign of a prolapse. If you haven't talked to your dr about this I think you need to call and have it checked out. I think a dr who specializes in female anatomy would be the best choice, if not a urologist.

It could be related to the constipation as that's a pretty common signal of a rectocele. There is a good link that explains Pelvic Organ Prolapse . I hope you can soon find out what's causing your pain. Let us know what you find out.
's, Rita
