I had a TVH (kept ovaries), A & P Repair and a TVT Sling on April 17th. I have been experiencing some vaginal/abdominal pressure (feels like something is about to fall out). Has anyone elso experienced this or have any thoughts concerning this?
I am 6 weeks post op and still have tenderness and alittle vaginal and rectal pressure worse if you sit too long. I was alot worse so believe me when i say it will go away in time. I wa voiding alot also and it seemed on day after 4 weeks i woke up and everything went back into place.I didn;t think any of it would get better but it does, just don;t over do it. we have one chance at doing this right so take it . Good Luck
Yes, I felt all that too after my surgeries - it is all part of the healing process. You will still have a lot of inflammation, swelling and bruising in the area, not to mention stitches working their way out.
By six weeks, you should feel a lot better and can discuss it at your check up if not. Please don't worry about it. Get lots of rest and avoid a lot of standing in those early weeks.
I get that, too. Almost like there might be some trapped "air" in the vagina and you try to wiggle it out, so to speak. Not as much pressure in my bowel/rectum now, but some days it is there. I keep doing my kegels and hoping that that weird "something in there" feeling goes away. I also find that sitting and putting me feet up helps relieve it a bit.
