Waterbed ... We Have A Waterbed!

Me again!!

I've been very "conscious" of how often I use my abdominal muscles moving around in the waterbed.

Not only to get in and out of it, but just to reposition myself!!

Anyone with any experience / comments about this??

I'm thinking I might have to get very accustomed to our sofa!

Ohhhhhhhh the things we can worry about 3 days pre-op!

Last night I told my husband, if I had to pick the most frequent emotion I'm feeling it's............. FEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I understand your fear. I am frightened as well and all around me just keep saying it's no big deal lots of others have lived through it. Hope all goes well.

Waterbed ... We Have A Waterbed!

I had a waterbed when I had my c-section 19 years ago...it was okay for me, but it was higher off the ground and I jumped down forgetting.......only forgot once though. I think you will be fine on the waterbed since it is what you are used to.

Lyinglittletwit! I have THE SAME PROBLEM! YOU ARE NOTTTTTTT ALONE...lol-- it's really NOT funny, but I have a waterbed too and have been totally conscious of "How on earth am I going to move on here?" Just great! My couch is down stairs so I have the stair issue...I dunno..... Maybe my husband will hurry up and build a nice little getaway room for me with all the options that I need- (yeah,riiiiight---I'm dreamin' now! )

Due to stairs, I took the advice of other ladies and brought a recliner chair yesturday. I didn't want to deal with the possibility of going up and down the stairs. Good luck!

Hmmmm---- That's good advice. Thanks! A recliner, how easy would that be???

Have you ever seen that commercial where that lady is on a chair like elevator going up the stairs? that would be nice - lol

Although I must caution you will probably need help getting into the recliner. Make sure which ever you choose is not hard on the stomach muscles. Also I would advise purchasing a recliner with a handle to lie down verses pushing you feet on the ground to recline.

Waterbed ... We Have A Waterbed!

I also have a waterbed, so my first few weeks I am planning on sleeping in my "guest" roon/office. Afriend gave my daughter a full size bed and I put her single in the office. I also have a "new" recliner.

I know what your saying about the fear. I had my preop today and surgery is on thursdy. I feel like I want to cry all the time. I've waited for 2 months more than I had to so I could get my college classe finished, but now I would rather not do this at all. Except that Aunt Flo is a MISERABLE MESS and I keep looking to the other side after the healing is done.

Keep your eyes on the prize!! And know that you are loved and prayed for!!!!!!
