Laproscopic Surgery Wed and slight cold....

As long as your chest is not congested at all, I don't think they have a problem but I would check with my doctor if I were you.

I came down with a chest cold right before my hyst and went and got an antibiotic shot but I also told my doc I was not going to reschedule this shot better be strong enough to help. I was tired of the problems and ready to get it done.

Good Luck.

Angelee -

Call your Dr and see if they are ok with you taking a Claritin and staying on it if it helps until surgery. 6 days pre-op I had the starts of a cold. Dr said we have plenty of time. By Wednesday I still wasn't better but wondered if it was at least part allergies. Well, Dr called in Zertec (said Clartin because it OTC) and 20 minutes later I was 'dry' and realized I hadn't coughed in 15 minutes (wasn't a hack just a tickle thing) and 2 hours later, my sore throut was gone.

If Drs ok with it, I don't see the harm and it might head things off. You know how colds start and then seem to progress.

I've been sneezing with my allergies and I called my GYN yesterday. His nurse said as long as it's without a fever or coughing I'll be fine, but I would call your doctor's office!
