Bible Verses for the week May 23 - May 30 (Read and Discuss)
Please read the following Bible verses, and after reading them, you can tell what you like about what you read, if it inspired you or touch you in some way. I will try and post Bible verses each week, on separate threads, that we can discuss, only in the Prayer Forum. Please be patient.
Please be kind and respect each other, the purpose of doing this, is so our members (those who would like to participate) can share and learn together.
I look forward to reading your comments. Feel free to ask questions.
Thank You

“For I know well the plans I have in mind for you says the Lord, plans for your welfare, not for woe! Plans to give you a future full of hope. When you call me, when you pray to me, I will listen to you. When you look for me, you will find me. Yes, when you seek me with all your heart, you will find me with you, says the Lord.” Jeremiah 29: 11-14

"If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good things to those who ask him." Matt 7:11

""Whatever you ask for in prayer with faith, you will receive." Matt 21:22

Bible Verses for the week May 23 - May 30 (Read and Discuss)
The passage in Jeremiah always has been one of my favorites! It tells me that my God loves me so much that He has a wonderful plan for my life, and it is already in the works. and also that He cares enough about me to always be ready to listen when I pour myself out to him. thank you for this thread. Where will I find your list every week? :^)

Yes, I do love this bible verse. I feel God is personally speaking to me and holding his arms out for me to come to him.
You can look for weekly bible verses on the Tues. or Wed. of every week.
I am glad you are enjoying them.

Bible Verses for the week May 23 - May 30 (Read and Discuss)
The first verse from Jeremiah really touched me. I haven't been physically able to get to Mass since my surgery, so I'm feeling a little disconnected from God right now.
My TAH was a complete surprise, it was good (they found and almost cured my unknown cancer), but bad b/c we'll never have biological children now. I've been really feeling called to be a mom for the last year or so and it's just been made that much harder.
I don't know why this has happened to me, but I do know, as Jeremiah says, that God knows what He's doing, He has plans for me, far better than anything I could have planned for myself. I just need to stay the course and keep praying.
Thank you so much, this is just what I needed, Suzy!

""Whatever you ask for in prayer with faith, you will receive." Matt 21:22
This verse is difficult for me....I think its mainly the word 'whatever', because I am so totally human, and selfish, and cannot see what is best from Gods perspective, that I want to ask for things Im not always sure I should...which keeps me from asking alot of the time unfortunately
The preceding verse is a good reminder that God has the best in mind for us...good gifts
Thanks for posting these!!
