Hi there :wave;

Just wanted to let you know that your post has been moved where you'll be most likely to get replies.

I also wanted to point out that it would help us help you if we knew if you've had a hysterectomy. It would also be helpful to know if you've kept your ovaries.

Promensil - Is anyone familiar with this?

No, I have not had a hysterectomy but joined this site for information on menopause. At the time I was very confused about what to do regarding taking HRT. I am against it due to the risks. I am having a problem with painful sex and I assume it is due to vaginal atrophy (not sure if I'm spelling this correctly). Actually, that is my only problem. My hot flashes are minimal with only a warm feeling, I sleep great, and have no other problems.

The doctor first suggested Vagifem but I couldn't take it, I had terrible side effects. The doctor then suggested Promensil. I'm not sure if it will help my problem.

Can anyone let me know if they have tried this product?

Hi!

Thanks for answering those questions. It helps to know exactly what your situation is so that you don't get information that could be potentially harmful.

Since you haven't had a hysterectomy, chances are you'll get much better support for your particular circumstances on websites for those who are going through natural menopause with an intact uterus. Two that I know of which are popular are minniepauze.com and dearest.com. I think you'd get the best input there.

If you do a site search on this site, you can find any previous discussions where Promensil was mentioned. The Search link is within the purple bar near the top of the page. There are non-hormone products you may want to check with your doctor about using. Some women have success using Vitamin E vaginal suppositories and some get relief from Replens.

I hope you can find something that gives you relief!
