TAH on June 12

Hi Everyone...I found this site tonight and was amazed at all the wonderful support you give each other!! I am having a TAH on June 12 and I'm very nervous but know it needs to be done. I will be sooooo glad when it is over! I'm actually looking forward to the recovery time...I have had several other surgeries and it always feels so good to get home and be pampered!!! My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who will be having hysterectomies.

I'm having a TAH because I have severe endo and a have a LARGE endometrioma attached to my left ovary. I have already had my right ovary removed...my GYN will be removing the rest now!!!

I feel like I am not alone and have aquired all kinds of new sisters and friends that KNOW how I feel. Feels great not to have to go thru this alone.

Welcome to the site! I enter the castle the same day as you. I'm scheduled for an LAVH and bladder sling. However, it may need to be converted to TAH due to scar tissue from previous surgeries. I basically have all the same issues as you, I'll be interested to find out what is adhered this time.
