I'm new here and scared to death!

I am new to this site, just found it today. I have been suffering from severe abdominal pain for 3 months now. I have always had really painful periods but this has been debilitating. I am up and down too hormone wise. My hysterectomy is next Tuesday. The sooner it is the more terrified I become. I have fibroids, did have a cyst so I was told that I more the likely have the A word. I also have a cystocyle so I will have my bladder done at the same time. I am nurse so it may be a case of knowing too much???? I have taken care of lots of women with this. Thank God I was always really nice and supportive. I just want to know that there are others like me and what your feeling. I am so glad I found this site.......Hugs to everyone! Ginger

I'm new here and scared to death!

Hello, welcome to the site! Your surgery is the same day as mine! This is a great site for advice. The sisters are awesome! I have also suffered from pain and bleeding. I have two cysts somewhere. It is normal to be nervous and afraid. I had one big cry for 3 hours on June 1st. All better! Just let it all out and plan on getting the house ready. Believe me it takes a lot of time getting ready. Good luck!

I'm new here and scared to death!

As I've said before, it's an emotional rollercoaster--let's all try to enjoy the ride! This website has certainly made the journey much more tolerable. Great info and I find myself sifting through it all, sometimes saying "Oh let that be me" and many other times "Oh please God let this NOT happen to me."
