Phantom Ovary Pain! What the ...?

HI, I just had a lap on Saturday for continuing pain after a total hysterectomy and ovary removal. At first my specialist thought it was adhesions, but that proved to be wrong. I had some endometriosis and he also suggest I have Phantom Ovary pain. Just like after you have had a limb removed? I thought he was nuts til I had a little more time to think about it. Now I am looking into it. Has anyone any experience with this?
Thanks

Phantom Ovary Pain! What the ...?

I did have a doctor suggest this to me. He also talked about referred pain, that is; where you feel the pain isn't necessarily where the pain is coming from. And once your body has had to deal with pain for a long period of time, it doesn't know how to not be in pain. It can become very complicated. Sorry to hear that you are still in pain.

Phantom Ovary Pain! What the ...?

Hello,
I also have phantom ovary pain, 5 years after TAH with ovary removal. My Dr. just ignored my complaints each time I mentioned it, so you are lucky to have one that listens and is trying to help you. My pain isn't too bad, I can live with it, just flares up when I am really tired or exercise too hard. I'm sorry you are having a hard time. Good luck with finding an answer.
