New To this stuff

Hello Fellow Sisters,
I am so glad that I was introduced to this site by a friend of mine. I had a TAH/BSO in Feb. 2001 and I feel it was the best thing that I have ever done for myself. Finding this site was the second. I don't have a significant other to express my feeling with when it comes to my "hysterectomy problems". This is a safe haven for me because you sisters know what feelings and emotions I am going through. Please be patient with me because I may have alot of questions and no answers!!!

Kleo...

Welcome, sister! So glad to meet you!

Not to worry. Once upon a time we were all new to computers, new to the prospect of surgery and new to Hystersisters. You will meet many supportive and patient ladies here who will be happy to help and share their journey.

So ask away!

{fingers poised, ready to help!}

New To this stuff

Welcome aboard! I have loved this site and really learned a lot about what other people have been through. Whenever I have felt sorry for myself I have gone online to see how everyone else is doing and they humble me into feeling better.
I'm sure that if the women here can't actually answer your questions, they'll get you pointed in the right direction.

New To this stuff

Hi Kleo,
Welcome!
My surgery was in January 2001, I found this site about a week before my surgery and it has been a lifesaver, at almost 6 months post-op I still check the boards every day. I had a TAH/BSO too, I'm still going thru some changes with the hormone adjustment thing but it's not too bad and it sure beats having heavy periods and cramps every month! This site is the greatest, the women are terrific, so ask your questions, you can almost always find help here. I had an easy recovery compared to some of the ladies that I read about and I am truly thankful for that.
I have a wonderful husband but even though he tries his best to understand, and he's patient, but he isn't really going thru the changes I'm feeling, so it's always nice to come in here and talk to the ladies.
Hope we can help you!

Peachy
