I'm new here had a total hysterectomy on 6/12/07

Hi Everyone, I'm Jennifer and I live in Michigan.

I had a total hysterectomy on June 12 because of an enlarged uterus (5 month pregnancy size) and a large fibroid (12 cm - size of a canteloupe.)

I'm not having a good recovery so far. Can you point me in the right direction for back pain following a hysterectomy. I've also been very down but I'm not sure if it's due to the pain or something else. I had my left ovary and tube removed (cysts and scar tissue) but I did get to keep my right ovary YEA!

Please advise me,

Hi Jen!

I'm sorry that you're experiencing post-op back pain. I'm sure you'll find others on this site who can relate--or they will find you. I see you have posted a new thread on the Post-Op message board so anyone with experience to share will be able to reply to you there.
