Finally a night without night sweats

I had my TAH on 11 June and was discharged the morning of the 13th. Since about my second day home I have been waking up drenched with sweat everytime I fell asleep.

Last night was the first night this has not happened!

Good on you!!! Have the sweats been hormonal or just a post op temp'? Either way, you didn't suffer with them last night and all going well, you won't tonight either.

Well I took my afternoon nap (a requirement after the surgery) and no sweats during that either.

I think they hormonal because I was having them on and off before the surgery.

I had night sweats until i started taking herbal supplements. I still sleep with two fans blowing on me. I found if I stay cold I can warm up under the blankets and then the heat doesnt kill me. But if I start warm I sweat all night. Try black cohosh my MIL loves it.

Well no real night sweats last night!!! I think I woke up sweating because the temp outside dropped down to the high 60s after being in the 90s all day. So my a/c did not kick on a lot. My follow up is in a few hours so I am going to check with my doc to see what she thinks. I did sleep all night again which is a major break through
