Release Day (sex)

Today my dr says that I could do what ever I wanted to do. Sex the whole 9 yds. This is my 7th week and I had been over doing it with cleaning my house or washing my car.I did not hurt myself.
But for some reason I am now afriad to have sex.
And I must say the surgery was fine except for two bladder infection. Otherwise everything went great.

I didn't resume sex until 2 weeks after the Dr. released me. Of course, you need the green light from the Dr., but then you should wait until you personally feel up to it. Maybe your body wants a break from all your housecleaning, etc. Take it easy and get more rest as you are still healing...you may feel up to it sooner than you think!

Sorry, I forgot to tell you that I was released at 4 weeks...much earlier than you were. Frankly, I was quite surprised I was released that early, but regardless, I felt I needed to wait until I felt better. Just take it a day at a time. You will know when it's right for you. I do recommend to have a lubricant handy the first time(s) to help things along!

Released to have sex isn't a command to have sex. You might still be tired and achy and not up to it for a while, that's perfectly fine. If your DH is the impatient type, you can tell him a little white lie and say that the doctor recommends waiting a little longer. You can still keep him satisfied until you feel ready.

In my case, I go to the doc on the 9th, he should OK sex by then. My DH circled the date on the calendar with a big happy face next to it! He also made a point of telling me that he will be home that night (he is a cop and usually works nights). So I don't think I'm getting out of it!
