sorry for another "i'm nervous" thread...
but i am! i'm so jittery right now. there's so much i want to do, but all i can do is sit here at this computer, reading threads, and being nervous.
i had my pre-op yesterday. the doctor said since i've had abnormal paps in the past with precancerous lesions, that he'll be taking my cervix also... that means he's taking it all.
on one hand i'm hopeful that all my pain will end, but i can't help being nervous about what's to come with the instant menopause at 31 years old.
i'm afraid i'm not gonna be the same woman for my husband.
i know i shouldn't be acting like this. i should practice what i preach... don't get all upset about something you don't even know is gonna happen yet. i need to take my own advice. <--- me arguing with me.
oh well, sorry for the ramblings. sometimes it helps to just get it out, and my 9 year old doesn't need to hear all that, so thanks for listening.
well, i better get something to eat, and start to drink those 2 lovely bottles of yellowy-green stuff, with the "pleasing lemony flavor".
thanks again, and best wishes to everyone else heading off to the castle in the next couple days, and to everyone recovering. love to you all..........Autumn <3

Autumn~
I am right there with ya girl. Doing the bowel prep now and not feeling too well. I have to drink a gallon of Colyte.
I am jittery as well and know its just nerves. We will both be fine today and tomorrow and then the pain will be gone!! (well after we recover).
What time is your surgery tomorrow?? Mine is at 9am so I at least I don't have to wait til afternoon~I doubt my pain would wait that long for meds!!
Liquid diet today and nothing to eat or drink after midnight. Which is fine with me since I feel icky at the moment.

Hang in there! Big huge s to you. I am sure I will be a jittery mess as my date gets closer. I hope both of you have easy surgeries.
As for the early menopause, is your doc putting you on HRT? I have 3 friends who are on HRT (they are also in their 30's) and say the dosage is less than birth control pills and they have had no problems with menopause symptoms.

Angie... i have to be at the hospital at 6:15 in the morning. i'm the doctor's first surgery of the day, so i guess i'm lucky there. don't have to be hungry for too long once i get up. all the best for you too!
i just ate a light lunch, and am looking for the motivation to drink that stuff. they told me to eat a light dinner (soup or something), then nothing after midnight.
CaveCreekAZgal... thanks for your reply. that gives me hope to hear that your friends aren't having any trouble. i'm supposed to wait as long as i can, after the surgery,to start on HRT (to try and dry up any leftover endo). he said if it gets to me too bad, then he'll start me on the hormones.
thanks again ladies. you really are a help, more than you know. <3
now off to the Magnesium Citrate! (i guess i shouldn't complain Angie, i only have to drink 20 ozs of the stuff. )

sorry for another "i'm nervous" thread...
Don't worry about another thread like this.
As I see it, we get a couple of opportunities to vent before our date arrives. Take care of yourself. We will be here for you. Please let use know how you are doing when you all get home.
You have done all the homework now it's time to let go and go with it....Donna
P.S. I know this may be too religious for some but maybe it will help some. One of my fav choruses as a child
He giveth more grace as our burdens grow greater,
He sendeth more strength as our labors increase;
To added afflictions He addeth His mercy,
To multiplied trials He multiplies peace.
