surgery july 9

I will be having a TAH on July 9 due to severe endo, multiple fibroids in the uterus and an ovarian cyst. Last year i had a lap for two ovarian masses. this is when the endo was diagnosed. did not respond to lupron. I am in alot of pain, especially lower back and hip. dr says its the endo. anyone else having similar surgery for endo? I hope the surgery will take the endo away.

It sounds like July 9th can't come soon enough for you and I hope the pain you are experiencing will be better even before the surgery. I don't think anyone who has not had a condition that has alot of pain assoctiated with it understands how exhausting pain can be. We understand though and you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

July 9th too

I am having my surgery on July 9th too. I am having an LAVH with my uterus & cervix removed, bladder sling, and anterior vaginal wall repair. In theory I am looking forward to the surgery since I am in pain, but I have not been sleeping well.
Pre-planning for school starts 4 weeks after surgery and I am teaching 5 weeks after surgery. I do not know how to teach sitting down and I am teaching Calculus for the first time. I think that is what is worrying me the most.

I am having basiclly the same problems because of endo, lots of pain. People don't realize how much it can hurt and it is totally exausting. I had a lap for cyst on ovary and was diagnosed with endo nearly 10 years ago, I will be having a TAH with both ovaries removed on July 11th, doctor said may have to do a little more after he gets in there and looks. My thoughts will be with you.

I'm having a TAH on July 9th as well for multiple fibroids. I don't have the pain of endo, but with the trouble my fibroids cause, I can only imagine what other problems piled on top would be like.

I am anemic, which has really slowed me down in the past year. I've been unable to exercise due to total exhaustion after a couple minutes and have gained a bunch of weight eating and drinking trying to get my energy back - not realizing I was anemic.

All said, I am miserable and am in emotional pain from all my symptoms more than physical pain.

I look forward to getting this overwith and to move on with life with no stupid female parts causing disruptions and problems. GET IT OUT!!!!

I go in today for my pre-op testing. My LAP-TAH, everything that is left is coming out. already had 3 other surguries. I find out today if i have to do the dreaded bowel prep or not. The surgery is on the 9th just waiting to find out what time to be at the castle that day. Hoping to find out everything today. Good Luck to all on the 9th. LAW1961

freakydeaky---I get tired very easily also. I had the Lupron shot in April so it may be due to not having a cycle, low on hormones? have you taken anything for the fibroids? Best of luck with your surgery.

I have done nothing for my fibroids other than endure anemia, heavy flow, incontinence, occasional constipation and some pain. After my last ultrasound revealed that the 2 large ones had grown from 2 cm to 9 and 5 cm in about 3 years - I realized I am going to have problems!

My sister, 10 years older than me, had fibroids as well, and I watched her attempts at stopping them for years - which ended up being unsuccessful and resulted in a hysterectomy anyway.

I have decided that I'm not going to waste any more minutes of my life trying to stop something that is going to win in the end. I'm going to bypass everything and go straight to the finish line. It's comin' out!

My first order of business after surgery is to become unanemic, get my energy back, and start exercising to feel great again like I did about 5 years ago.

Good luck with you as well.
