Skin peeling after surgery?

I am 16 days out from my LAVH. I noticed today that I had some peeling skin on my chest and the top of my stomach. It isn't much just looks a little like a sunburn- kinda flaky skin. Anyone else have this? Any idea what it could be from? It isn't painful, just kinda annoying. Hope everyone is having a good 4th of July .

I wonder if it's the iodine (or similar) that is very liberally applied to the skin before surgery? II suppose it's possible you're allergic to it? I do know of someone who had a reaction like you're describing. I had a small local reaction to where the heart-tracers(?) were on my chest. I just attributed that to the adhesive.

Perhaps you could check with your doctor/office and see what they could recommend to put on it to relieve the symptoms.

Take care!

Skin peeling after surgery?

I had the same thing. It didn't itch or anything either, thought it must be from the Betadine.
