Anyone else have celiac or gluten intolerance?

I have a gluten intolerance, discovered about April. I'm having BM problems, beginning to get constipated. So far the only way I know to eliminate it is eating stuff with gluten for the fiber factor. But that gives me bad bad cramps, diarhea, etc. I need more fiber without eating the gluten. I'm still learning what I can eat & what I can't. Please say someone else here is celiac!! Help!

I have never been tested but my dr is convinced I have it. I eat plenty of fiber from other foods. Google high fiber gluten free food or just high fiber foods,it brings up a list of foods with high fiber. I also enjoy rice flour and noodles. You can pm if you want. Ifeel ur pain.

wende,
While I don't have Celiac's I do have issues with gluten, wheat and yeast products. I would suggest that you keep a careful food diary to find which foods are contributing to the constipation. Fiber has always compounded the problem for me. One thing that works for me is to eat a few sugar free candies. Not sure if that's allowed on your Celiac diet, but the sorbitol in the sugar free stuff gives my bowels a kick start. You may want to check with your local health food store and see what they have. Your doctor may also have some ideas for things you can try that are within your dietary guidelines.
