Where to apply testosterone cream??

Finally got my Rx for compounded teststerone 0.05mg gel twice a day. Hope it helps my libido!

My NP said to start off slow with once a day...which I'm doing. I feel no difference except a little more vaginal moisture. The first night I woke up feeling a little "wired" but since then my sleep has been normal. (it's been 3 days)

When is the best times to apply it?

A concern...When I increase to twice a day can I do both doses in the morning? I'm worried that I may have trouble with my sleep. (have had insomnia problems)

What sites can I apply it? I've been using the inner wrists.
Do I rotate sites? Can it be applied to vulva??.... what's the advantage?

How long will it take to "kick" in? I read about two weeks.

Any insights or suggestions appreciated!

Thanks!

Where to apply testosterone cream??

I've always only applied my testosterone cream once a day. My instructions were to apply 1x per day for about a month, than go to every other day, than a few times a week. IMHO 2x per day may give you too much testosterone, unless you are just using a teeny tiny bit.

I've always applied my testosterone cream in the morning as it does give me a bit of a rush. If I applied at night, I fear that I would get no sleep.

As to where to apply, I've not used the gel, so you should check with your pharmacist to ask about the base and if it's okay to apply to the vulva.

Good luck!

Where to apply testosterone cream??

Hi there-
I use a coumponded cream form-and recently Doc changed it from 2 mg per gram to 3 mg per gm as 2 did nothing for libido-the jury is still out on the 3mg-as I just had surgery about 2 weeks ago. I always use it in the mroning 1x per day (1 gram)-and apply it on inner thighs, upper inner arms and belly-I switch it around. As mine is cream-the pharmacist had told me that I could apply it to the vulva area-but not sure about the gel.
Best of luck-
