Post-op 7 months still cramping!!!!!!! Endo and adhesions

I was told that when i had my hys. all my pains would go away and I would be fine . It is now 2 years later and am having surgery on7/24/07 for more endo, I am 28 and ready to scream.after my hys. we found out that I have IC which is ulcers in the bladder, and that condtion presents itself as female problems. You might consider asking your doc about it.

they checked for that and even treated for it even though they found no ulcers. And no help. I am 31 yrs and want to scream. I am to the point drs aren't what we need, I am not sure what we need but they can't seem to help. They don't know whats going on. I hate calling the dr cause they make you feel like you are calling to often and its uncomfortable. I hope your surgery helps. Did they take your ovaries? If my endo comes back again I am going to tell them they have to take them.

Endo can be miserable and unfortunately there is no cure so some of us do have pain post hyst. Hopefully what you are feeling now is still part of healing from your lap and with time it will go away.

For me, I have found I have more pain when I ovulate, although I don't always feel pain when I ovulate (it is possible I am not ovulating every month). If I do have pain with ovulation, it can last for a short time or for several weeks.

Another thing I have found is that what I eat and drink can affect my endo pain. If my IBS is flared or if my GI tract is acting up, my endo will hurt worse. So I work with my gastroenterologist in this area.

Do you have an endometriosis specialist? The more knowledgeable your doctor is regarding the endo, the better treatment you may receive.

I wish you the best and hope you feel better soon! in there!

Re: Post-op 7 months still cramping!!!!!!! Endo and adhesions

Well its been a while and since my hyst. I have now had both ovaries removed the last one just a few months ago they still found endo even though it was suspose to be gone. So far able to keep hot flashes & night sweats at bay with Black Cohosh. I am now really feeling the loose and anger as I can't have anymore babies and friends are prego around me. Just need an outlet thanks for listening.
