Need to talk to some other sisters geting hyst in JULY

I am scheduled for my hyst only 7-03-01 and boy am I having major panic attacks. I have been cleaning my house like crazy (you know doing the stuff that when you feel good you put it off but, when all you have to do is lay there at look at it, it drives you nuts!) Told my husband to please get me out of the house today just to give me something else to look at. I am not a very patient person when I want something I want it yesterday. Soooo this is really giving me alot of stress. Would just like to hear from some other ladies to see how you are handling it. I love to sleep on my stomach and when I went to bed last night I thought next week you won't be able to do this your stomach will be cut , that did it Panic Attack city. So now I have talked to myself and decided not to go there any more. I DO THAT ALOT. THANKS TWEETIE PLEASE EMAIL ME AT dklin636@aol.com

Tweetie,

I am also having my hyster on July 3rd. Quit worrying about the housework. It will still be there after you recover. You just need to stay focused on how much better you will feel afterwards.

Good luck!

panic

Hi, Tweetie! I can relate! I'm scheduled for July 5 and am having many of the same feelings you describe. Deep breaths, girl!!

I don't know it this helps, but it helped me -- once I realized it would be much worse if the surgery were cancelled, my stress has lessened . . . .
well, a little :-)

Take care of yourself!

Need to talk to some other sisters geting hyst in JULY

Hi Tweetie! I also am a LIW for the month of July. Once in in awhile I have a moment of sheer terror worrying about all the worst case scenarios. I had to make a decision to think more positively and not lose hope. When panic begins to creep up on me I take a little retreat , I listen to some peaceful music, hum a little familiar tune, or just even take a few deep breaths,I breathe in through my nose with my mouth closed for a count of 4, hold the breath count of 4, then push the breath out deliberately through my mouth count of 4. This works wonderfully for me. Taking time out of the house sounds like an excellent way to relax! I know when I am home I get upset just looking at everything that needs to get done. I am also a stomach sleeper and I am praying that with the right pillow support and pain meds that I will find a comfortable position to drift off to dream land. I hope some of these suggestions are helpful to you, Love and Blessings to you Dear Sister Carol

July 3rd sister

Hi -

I'm having my TAH possible BSO on July 3 also. I know all too well what you are going through right now. I am in a total state of panic. SHEER TERROR! Hang in there Tweetie, hopefully we can all get through this together. Sorry I can't offer much advice to calm down, as I'm not doing so hot myself at keeping it together. Let me know how it goes...

Can't wait 'til this is over!

Need to talk to some other sisters geting hyst in JULY

I have my TAH scheduled for July 5. I can totally relate to what you are going through, except I am single and do not have an SO to get me out of here!

I also love to sleep on my stomach. The same thought you had occurred to me last night, so I decided to start the night on my stomach and get as much as I can while I can.

Hang in there. It should be so, so much better on the other side.

Need to talk to some other sisters geting hyst in JULY

Hi Tweetie,
I am scheduled for the 5 th and am also scared and nervous.

I got out of the house yesterday and did my castle shopping, it did really help me. I'm like you staring at the same ole walls were driving me up them.

I am a stomach sleeper to boy I guess lots of us are. Wonder how long it will take before we will able to sleep "normal" again afterwards?

gave me some Xanax and that has helped with my terror and sleeplessness. You might call your Dr and see if they can help.

Good Luck and take care
