No desire to eat???

Since I have had my surgery I have had no desire to eat. I did not want to eat in the hospial and really have had no desire to eat since coming home (3 days now).

Has anyone else had this "problem"?

Suggestions anyone???

No desire to eat???

I have also noticed this, my doctor kept me on a liquid diet while I was in the hospital and I am almost 3 weeks out right now and still don't have any desire to eat. I consider this a good thing since I could use to skip a few meals.

No desire to eat???

I am 7 weeks post-op and I have slowly started eating again. I went for a few weeks on eating once a day. Nothing sounded good or seem to taste good either. Just make sure you eat a little something everyday.

No desire to eat???

Don't worry, your appetite will eventually come back, with a vengeance. At least mine did.

No desire to eat???

Thanks for the info ladies! I just do not want to eat, yet I am light headed if I don't. Toast has been what I am eating to take my meds. Although... for a few minutes I thought a Big Mac and fries sounded good... then I realized... I still can't drive

No desire to eat???

I felt the same way and nothing looked good or tasted good, I then had my DH pick me up some Boost at the store and right after drinking a few of them I felt better and not so light headed. It takes awhile but no problems now, I still drink one Boost a day for protein.

No desire to eat???

I felt the same way. In the hospital I couldn't eat. I would take a bite out of something and be done. At home, I had to make myself eat something occasionally even though I wasn't hungry. And when I would eat something, I felt VERY full after a few bites and it felt like food would just sit there in my tummy.

Gradually your appetite returns. But I have lost the taste for a few things and I don't know what thats all about.
