Bso + Recovery Time

Hi, I am going to be going in for a BSO very shortly and just want to know what the recovery time is and how long off work would i have.
I had a TVH in june 06 and ive also had 3 caesareans so will that affect the way it is done (laproscopy/otomy) with the scarring i have from these surgies?

The recovery time may depend on how the doctor is doing the surgery (lap vs abdominal) and how much work the doctor has to do once he gets in there. For a lap, the recovery time *might* be from 2-4 weeks. If the surgery is an open abdominal surgery, I would plan on at least 6 weeks.

You really need to discuss this with your doctor. I forgot to ask my doctor before one of my surgeries and made an assumption that was totally wrong. Another reason to discuss this with your doctor is that everyone is different, your doctor is the best one to know your medical situation, even if I only took 2 weeks off after a lap, your doctor may think you need 4 weeks.
