Good Morning my BEST friends!

It's a very hot day today again. Record heat..well into the 90's and the humidity is up. No problems at all getting all my water in each day. I've been drinking it all day long.

I weighed in this morning and after yesterdays stand still, today I'm down a full pound. For a total of 10 from my moment earlier this summer, and a total of 3 since I started taking the Alli and eating with my low-carb plan again. I'm very happy right now and I hope that this continues.

Food is planned out. All OP on my plan. Last night we went out to our little sports bar, and I had their mushroom burger without the bun. It made a lovely chopped steak with mushrooms, onions and cheese. All allowed on my plan. So it was very tasty.

I'm off to get my walk in again before it gets hot. Then probably Curves, then some work around here. Not sure what yet.

Have a BEST OP day everyone!

Hello all,
I hear you Nancy - our weatherpeople are calling for temps of high 90's and heat indexes of well over 100. No outside activities down here during the afternoon. Hurray on the weight loss. Every ounce gone is an ounce you don't have to carry around.
Food today - B check this out - I am going to make scrambled eggs - DD thinks I need to add more protein and eggs are allowed on my food list and a banana with my hot tea.
L - Thinking some soup or tuna on tomato
D - undecided as of yet - DH and I may go out as DS is going to dinner with his basketball coach - No Cooking day for me
See you on the chatter side..

Hi ladies!!!!!!!!

Oh, Nancy, that is fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lynn, it is a hot one here as well!

I have been a good girl..........Curves, lots of water and staying as OP as I know how. Weigh-in will be anytime during the week of the 25th. I am hoping for a 6 pound loss and maybe an inch gone. Then I know I can continue on in this pattern and maybe start a downward spiral to my new goal of 162..........what I was when I got married! Need to get some cleaning done before the heat of the day slows me down. See you in chatter........

HI all,
bkfst was 1 egg, 2 slices of bacon and a glass of ff soy milk.
lunch will be a salad, with maybe some chicken
dinner will be a Lean Cuisine or a Smart Ones, since I will be dining alone.

The advanced work out at Curves is going great, I didn't realize how much I was slacking when using the machines. She will be doing the class again in October, so I may do it again then. We have one week to go.
on the weight loss Nancy. Lynn, I am glad you are able to add eggs to your meal plan. I am not losing at the moment but I am hoping that the advanced work out will speed up my metabolism a bit.
I am going to try to get over to chatter today, with this slow computer and dial up it is hard to get anywhere.
See you all later.

Morning All

Nancy - great job. And Em - that's a goal to set, what we weighted when we got married. I don't think that will happen - I'll be hard pressed to get to 160 like the surgeon says.

Bkft: bowl of cherrios w/1%milk - just didnt' feel like anything hot.
Lunch: working on making a salad w/hard boiled egg
Dinner: haven't a clue. Maybe chicken as I'm to go to SIL's and help her set up for her yard sale tomorrow - hence the lawn mowing Wed evening. DH will continue to work on her mower today....

I'm off to get the done. I'm out of everything. And it's to be soooo hot. I have DD car - long story so don't know how my stuff will fit in. Very tightly!! Like my pants used to be.

Ohhh Ohhh forgot to tell you - yesterday I decided to BEFORE my relaxing in the pool. I started Lynn plan on Day 2 - walked for 40 minutes (by myself) - did a fast pace, sweated a bunch, then got home to to 3 sets of 10 of back, arm, chest excerises (as best I could remember some) so I'm cought up with the days. THEN I got in pool and promptly wanted to fall sleep. Then I ordered pizza (1st time in over 3 mos) for dinner which I ate 1.5 slices with a side salad and tea.

BUT the worse part comes when I just had to have a bag of lite microwave popcorn with our movie DD and I watched. Then a biscotti, then I started hunting.....so put on another movie and forced myself to stay in the den.

I've come to the conclussion that excerising in the evening is not good. When I went to the gym in the morning it set my day - I ate bkft AFTER I got home, was tired in evening and went to bed earlier. I've talked to neighbor and we're gonna get up and walk before she opens her business - then maybe I won't want to reach for things to snack on at night? Worth a try. Maybe I'll lose this last few pounds surgeon wants off me.

What do you all thinK? Worked before - will it work again? I'm tired of the evening walks generating a feeling of "needing to eat something" - and one little thing leads to another, and another, and another.....
Sorry this was so long - but totally on topic -
M.

Melissa,
The benefit of doing the challenge would be that you would be doing whatever exercise you normally do in the morning or early afternoon and that would boost your metabolism and then when you do the challenge it would boost your metabolism once again during the day which is something different for your body to deal with and hopefully lead to weight loss or inches lost. Evening time is ideal because your metabolism would be raised for at least 3-4 hours while you were either watching tv or even sleeping, but if it is going to cause you to want to eat like crazy then it defeats the purpose. You will have to weight the pros/cons. Maybe exercise morning/afternoon instead of morning/night. I have a rule in my house - my kitchen is closed after 6pm - no food. DS16 does come out about 11pm for his second dinner - usually a box of cereal or something else. But DH does not need to snack all night long so my kitchen closes.

Time has flown by, but I am starting over AGAIN !

Hello Friends. I am so glad to have my computer again. Had to order a new power cord and didn't have any other one to use for what seemed like years....but was only a month.

Congrats to all of you working so hard this summer. I see many have dropped pounds and inches.

I am at a stand still. My arthritis is acting up and walking or swimming is out of the question at this time. My workouts consist of getting up and getting more water. My fingers are not working well, and I am so frustrated with the amount of pain.

Now, for the food. Well, I am not OP. 2 days a week I cannot eat because of the meds. I snack on animal crackers and flat coke. I am on stonger chemo treatments and get sick.

The other days, well I am trying to keep my intake to 1200 calories because of sitting or lying down all day. 200 of that is a high protien bar. I am doing well on not gaining weight, but haven't lost any more.

We have a new baby, Francis David Johns V, he is a week old and adorable. It was a rough ride, emergency C-section but mom (my dil) and baby are doing great. We are all fighting to see who holds him next. Brit is winning. But at the carnival and band show tonight I am sure I will get a little more time. My boys band is playing at the local fair tonight. They are getting very popular in central PA. It is nice because we can take the under 21 kids to the fair to see them.

I will be checking in daily again, I need your support and ideas about what to do when exercise is out of the ? My doc said, move in the water only, but I cannot be in the sun at all, I was in the pool 15 min and my arms felt burned but I had sunscreen on and the arms were white, no redness. Then they started to swell up and get bumps all over. So, no SUN except a little by the window with sheers.

I cannot drive to the Y right now, so I try to get up and walk in the house every 15 min. So far, it is helping me and I do one or two little things. Like put a few dishes in the dishwasher. Wipe off the bathroom sink. It is not much, but every little thing helps me and the house. I need a housekeeper, maybe soon since hubby got a new job and we will have more money in a few months.

Missed you all so much.
Luv to all,

Love the idea of a closed kitchen. I need to eat with my night pills, any suggestions? I am now eating one activia with them. I do feel this product is helping me so much with my digestive issues.

Mary Kay...Welcome Back! We've missed you. I wanted to let you know that we've started something new here (just last Friday) with the B.E.S.T. group. We've got a chatter thread too. This way we can post here, about our eating and such..keeping this forum on topic. And we can post on the chatter thread about anything and everything else. We've been enjoying it a lot. Please come and check in out. Here's a link to help you find it.

But you can also find it by going to the Hystersisters Club House in Hysteritaville. There at the top, you'll see the B.E.S.T. forum. Scroll down past all the other "clubs" to the regular posts. You'll see the B.E.S.T. chatter thread.
