Has anyone else had a robotic TVH??

I had a robotic TVH almost 3 weeks ago. Today at my appointment, my docotor told me that I could resume my daily activities. I knew that this type of surgury was less evasive, but I was suprised when he told me that I could even cut the grass(riding of course). He only gave me 2 restrictions, no lifting over 20 pounds, and you can guess what the other one is. He did tell me not to go out and be Wonder Woman, but that I was ok to do what needs to be done.
I was wondering if anyone else had this type of surgery and what you were told. I am just so suprised to be released this early.

Has anyone else had a robotic TVH??

I had a robotic LVAH almost 3 weeks ago. I was told no lifting over 15 lbs for 4 weeks, no sex for 6 weeks and no driving for 2-3 weeks. I can go swimming at 3 weeks and walking and stairs are okay too. I don't have my follow up until 6 weeks post op.

I am doing most of the daily stuff with the exception of vacuuming, laundry and heavy cleaning. I can cook and load/unload the dishwasher and make the kids lunches and such. I just find if something hurts, I simply don't do it.

Hope that helps a bit. I am feeling really good and don't tire nearly as easily as I did a few weeks ago.

Has anyone else had a robotic TVH??

I had the davinci hysterectomy (Total - no ovaries) on May 7 and was released to do anything other than lift over 20 lbs or have sex at just two weeks. My husband and I were thrilled, so we assumed that I was "good to go". I returned to work just 3 weeks post-op. Huge mistake!! I was so tired and achy. It was very hard to get through. I am now 13 weeks post-op and on hormone therapy. I feel great.

But my advise - take it easy! Though you may feel okay, it is best to take at least 6 weeks and relax. Give yourself time to heal. I wish someone had told me that.
