My wonderful husband...
I just had to post to tell everyone how sweet my hubby is.I am 5 days post op for a TAH/BSO.Had such hideous problems with bleeding and gushing, that all my undies, including my nice ones(you know, the pretty ones you wear when you arent on your period)are all ruined...I told hubby as soon as i feel better Im gonna toss them all.
He came home yesterday, with a huge pink and white stripped box, tied up with a black satin bow, from "Victorias Secret".He said it was an early birthday present(birthday is next Tues).I opened it up,and inside were8 pairs of beautiful panties, tiny, silky, pretty things, with matching bras!!! He did this HIMSELF!!! Picked them out himself. He got in my lingerie drawer, and looked to see what size bra/underwear I wore.Said he asked for some help from the saleslady,so he could find the matching bras to go with the panties.HE melted my heart..
So now, once this swelly belly is gone,I have beautiful new underclothing to loofk forward to.I just had to brag him up,he's been a dear!!

You get the grand prize!!! That is incredible! I was just thinking about putting out a post how happy I am that my 15 yr old DD painted my livingroom while I have been on the couch to keep me company!! Of course money was part of the incentive (remember she is a teen) but I am elated!! My husband has been a sweety but that is way above and beyond the call of duty. My husband is taking me out dancing tonight because it such my favorite thing to do. I am 5 wks and plan on taking it really easy!!! I am so excited!!!

Bravo to DH
Jule:
I'm so glad to see a post where someone tells about how wonderful their hubbies have been. We forget how hard this is on them as well - it's tough to watch someone you love in pain. Not to mention the additional burden of having all of the chores/cooking to do solo. Mine has been an absolute angel during my recovery, and I thank God I have him!
So Bravo to all those wonderful and supportive Hubbies!

What a sweet, most thoughtful thing for him to do for you!
You're a lucky girl!
That really helps the healing process, knowing that you have such a thoughtful, caring husband to do such nice things for you.

My wonderful husband...
Hi there. I MUST reply to this thread. My hubby is so wonderful too. He has been keeping up with the laundry AND the dishes.
We have 4 kids 10,8,4 and 1 And he has his own business he needs to run to make money but took this whole week off. The first couple of days he wouldnt even let me get my own meds, he got them for me. He is so wonderful and although he does have his moments. He has shown me this week how really lucky I am

Wonderul hubbies!
I am so glad to see that there are a wonderful group of hubbies out there! Where would we be without their support? My DH told me he would do anything to help me through my TAH/BSO and did! He waited on me hand and foot and even today, 13 weeks after my surgery, still won't let me do the vacuuming or anything streneous like that! He was there, also, when I went through breast cancer at age 36 and had to have a mastectomy. He told me that losing a breast just put me closer to his heart! He held my head while I was getting sick from chemo treatments and rocked me when I thought I would die! He has been the most wonderful support to me all through our 23 year marriage and I just can't thank God enough for this wonderful gift He gave to me! And can you believe that he still loves me,scars and all!? Even tho I am 90 pounds overweight, he has never said a bad word to me and has always been encouraging. And with his help and Gods we will start a nutrition plan so we both can get healthy. Did I mention that when I was diagnosed with cancer he had been diagnosed with cancer himself a week before? He is fine, Thank the Lord, and clear of cancer now for almost 10 years! Yes, where would we be without our wonderful hubbies?!!

Debbie,
Wow,sounds like your hubby has be a godsend.Your story really touched my heart. We have been married 12 years, and have endured the death of 2 daughters(one stillborn, the other lived 4 months, due to a congenital heart problem found at birth)Seems like the more obstacles we face head on together, the stonger our relationship gets.I wouldnt trade him for anything.
Im so glad to hear how your husband is really going above and beyond...its so nice to hear that...
ATHENA66,
I hope I read right...did you have your surgery on 6-26 or 6-28??if it was the 28th,same as me.My husband is really helping so much..house may not be as neat as I LIKE It..BUT HE IS TRYING..BLESS HIM.
