Finally!!! Home Sweet Home!!!

I left her at about 3:15pm on Monday. That's when they wheeled her away! At about 5:30pm that same day (although personally it felt like forever!), I spoke with the doctor, and he told me the surgery went without a hitch! He was able to do it all vaginally (which is what she wanted), and he told me that he did not have to take either ovary (which was another concern she had). She was given a room on the maternity floor (another desire she had), and what a blessing that was! The whole room to herself. Following the surgery, she started off groggy, with little pain... as the meds wore off, the pain obviously intensified. She was a trooper however, rarely pushing the button to increase the meds and by Tuesday @ 2PM they took her off the drip. The BIG mistake came when she only took 1 of the 2 percocets offered! The pain shortly there after hit 10 on a 1-10 scale! She fought through it though and was actually able to sleep for longer than 15 minutes that night! When I arrived Wednesday morning, she was already up and sitting in the chair! She's walking pretty well, pain has subsided (with meds), but looks wonderul! I am so happy she is home and on the road to recovery! I can't wait for her to talk to you in the next couple months and tell you how alot of the problems she had prior to the surgery are now gone! Well, here's to hope! Good luck to all of you, and make sure your man is there for you! We have become so used to our ladies doing the this and the that's, and now, it is our time to step up and help out our ladies! Be there for them, they'll need you! Baby, when you read this (and I know you will)... I love you and I think you look GREAT!!! I am proud of you! Mend quickly!

That is by Far the sweatest post I have ever read....I am acually wiping tears as i type....Congratulations on being so sensative to your wifes needs.
It is so important to the ladies to have support during this confusing time!!!

Wow! She is going to be so proud of you when she reads this, I know I am. I am fortunate to have a wonderful Husband who too has been by my side every step of the way through this.

Tell your wife to rest and when she feels up to it we will be here to keep her company.

Yep, a good partner is very hard to find, but when we do, how truly blessed we are!!!! fearofunknown--one thing you do know, and we do too now!, is what a wonderful partner you have! I'm so glad you're back home now and recovering, and I look forward to seeing you here again soon!
