UPDATE- 8 day postop pain/now 2 wks postop

Hi Sisters-

Just checking back in regarding the pain I began experiencing suddenly at day 8. After 2 urine cultures and a CBC blood test it was determined that I had a bladder infection. Upon a painful examination by my doctor, he said that everything looked good and was healing as it was supposed to. He also said that it would be normal to feel pain again at this stage due to stitches starting to disolve, nerve endings, etc. He believes my pain was exaggerated by the infection.

Doing much better now though! Thank you for helpful comments. I don't post very often, but I am a reading fool!!

Thank you for letting us know and I'm glad you're feeling better. I think it helps just knowing there is a cause that can be identified and cured. Those bladder infections are so painful though.
I hope you continue to feel better and better. Make sure you're drinking lots of water.
