Overweight and OK :)

Just want to say hi and good luck to all of you lovely ladies getting ready for surgery. I want to offer a little encouragement to any of my overweight sisters and let you know that at approx 100 lbs overweight, 54 years of age and now 2 weeks post op from a total LAVH/BSO I am feeling really well. My op was necessary as a result of Stage 1 cancer of the endometrium and thankfully no further treatment is required. I left hospital the day after surgery and apart from the first 2 days I have not required painkillers. As so many women on this site have said, the fear of the surgery is oftenworse than the surgery itself. I am taking it easy, I fully intend to take 6 weeks off work and I am so relieved to find that my body has been kind to me and recovering far better than I had anticipated. It's early days I know, but so far so good. So if you are more than a little bit cuddly, please try and relax, follow instructions carefully and see you on the other side.
Best wishes to all of you.
Lynn
