Lose of sex drive

Hello All!

I am new to all of this...so please bear with me. I had a total hysto 5 years ago at the age of 29. It wasnt supposed to be a totat but the doctor said when he got in there both my overies were bad. I didnt want the total because I had heard about the mood swings and the lose of sexual desire. I noticed the decrease only slightly in the beginning...now sex has become almost a thing of the past. I was told by someone that there is a HRT that has some sort of stimulent that will boost your sex drive. Is this true? I asked my gyn about my lack of desire...he suggested that I speak to a therapist. I dont think it is a "Mind" problem...I love my husband very much...I just dont have the desire....and would really like to change this situation.

I would greatly appreciate any information you could offer.

Lose of sex drive

Gardengal - Unfortunately that does happen to some women. I've copied and pasted an article done by Hostess Trish that is very informative.

http://www.hormonejungle.com/

Estratest is estrogen with testosterone in it and some women have found that helps...others use testosterone cream. Please ask this question in the hormone jungle section of the message boards too...they have lots of experience with HRT related issues and can give you some good advice.

Don't give up looking from something or someone that will help. Be persistant.

Also, use search engine at the top and search by keyword "libido" that will give you some additional posts to read.
