Home from Hospital

Hi Girls,
I think I had about the best news I could hope for. My cancer was contained in the uterus, nothing found in falopian tubes, ovaries, cervix, lymph nodes or uterus wash!It is stage Ic grade 3.
I will still have to have radiation because it was a grade 3 cell. Hurray! Hurray! what a relief!

The cancer had invaded my fibroid tumor which was the size of a clementine to a baseball. I could tell right away they had taken it because that side of my stomach felt smaller.

I will say waiting for the gas to come was the worst part. I am still tired and the incision feels a little picky once in a while, but mostly just sore and weak in the stomach area.
My Hysterectomy was on Wednesday moring and I came home 3 days later, Saturday morning. Here I am on the computer Saturday afternoon. Really I wanted to be napping but had a business concern to take care of as well.
Will stop by again later.
Hope 707 Karen Stage Ic grade 3

Hi Hope707,

I'm so glad to hear the surgery is behind you and that you are on the mend. You responded to my first post in this forum a few weeks ago. We both had D&C's at about the same time and were waiting for surgery dates. Now we both have good reports--yea! Although I do not need further treatment, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers as you go through the radiation treatments. If how quickly time has passed since my surgery means anything, you will be finished before you know it! Even though you're feeling good, don't forget to rest and pamper yourself. It gets better and better everyday.

Take care and keep us posted.

Wonderful news.

Now just be sure to take it easy even if you do not feel like it. Lot of stuff went on inside there and it takes a while to heal.
