Cramps, Cramps, Cramps

Hello!

I need some help for those who suffer or have suffered through miserable cramps. I have had pretty bad periods forever but they are getting worse as my told me they would. BUT HOW DO YOU COPE? They are so bad on the first day of my cycle I feel like ! I am taking a pain killer the doctor gave me but even now that is not helping!

I too suffer from cramps. They were so bad last month that I took a lot of drugs and then had some wine. Now it got rid of the cramps and pain but I know that is not a good way to deal with it. It was after that incident when I talked to my Gyn that we scheduled my hysterctomy. I don't think he was impressed with my pain management skills.

I don't know what to say. Do the best you can and hopefully after your surgery this will not be an issue for you anymore. Heating bad , prescription meds, a walk if you are not bleeding to heavy.

I have also dealt with it, for as many years as I can remember!!...I've been taking Tylenol 3 for so long..I feel like a druggy!..but I like your idea...wine...wine...and more wine...!!!But the DR also said when it gets really bad, and I don't have any Tylenol 3 left, a really good back muscle relaxant helps, too...hmmm....maybe we'll get buzzed and then we won't care..let's add wine to that too!...sounds good to me......such a pain!!!...and still getting 'em on a daily basis...(had my (.) for eight weeks now!...but I'm counting my days down..only 15 to go....yaaahhhooo...I'm actually getting excited!..only because I am sssoooo looking forward to not having to deal with this anymore!!...I couldn't say that last night...something got to me yesterday, and I was terrified about the surgery, and my day was a ****ty one at work, and I guess I had a panic attack...one of those days, that I just NEEDED a crying session!..took a sleeping pill last night, and was out like a light..needed that too!!..funny how we need our crying sessions...I'll blame it on my Hormones!!!...we can always do that, right?...-Chris

I am glad that someone else can see the humour in sometimes you just have to laugh and get through this stuff the best way you can. Good luck with your surgery. An 8 week period. Oh my That has got to be brutal. I hope that you are feeling better soon.

So sorry your having such bad cramps. I use to have them also the day before and the day of my period. While Percocet would help a little bit, I have to say that OTC Pamprin(without asprin, not midol not the same) was the best relief for me. With Drs permission I would take 4 of them as soon as I felt the symptoms, and they really helped with the cramps. Why we never figured it out. But it worked, and I wasn't going to complain. Might give it a try, it can hurt.

I am trying to keep my humor up! If you can't drug your self silly and drink it away what fun is it to complain? Anyway thanks to you all for the posts I will try the OTC stuff! What can it hurt?

I am suppose to hear back from the doc today or tomorrow so I will keep you all posted!
