sore around incision

Hi Ladies, I don't know if this anything to be worried about but I have a had mild pain in my left side, close to my incision. My belly gets very hard down around the incision (bikini cut) Then after awhile it seems to get softer. Even during the night while I'm in bed my stomach feels hard. I thought maybe it was because I was sleeping kinda sitting up. So last night I laid flat. Slept fairly well. I checked my incision and under it on the left side is a little lump of skin. It gets hard like a bump then it returns to being soft. Am I crazy. I have no fever and its not red. It just bothers me. I don't think its infected. I'm beginning to think I have to much time on my hands and I'm imaging thinks. I'm 3 weeks post op. This site is the only thing that keeps me busy. I love it and thank you all for listening. sore around incision

Hi, I too feel a small bump on the left side right under my incision. I called the doctor and he assured me it was nothing to worry about. Part of the healing process means lots of changes in your body especially in the belly. I am only 1 1/2 weeks post op but I too worry about everything. But just be kind to yourself and keep in touch with the ladies on this site and you will be fine. If you need an ear, write to me. Take care. Jill Smith

sore around incision

You might try using "warm" hotwater bottle on incision area...and/or heating pad BUT don't fall asleep with it on. That may help.

However, call your dr. just to be on the safe side.

Hi there,

I to was sore on the left side, "BIG" lump. Moist heat (towel in microwave; not to long) Left it on 15 - 20 mins each hour. Took about 4 days and then it started to drain.
