what to do about gas pains?

I know that I am only one day post op but was wondering what I could do to get rid of some of the gas. My doc said this is where the majority of my discomfort will be coming from. He said that it is important to keep walking around. I have been doing this as much as I can. I go to the bathroom and urinate good...even though I feel I don't have to put much effort into this as it comes out by itself. He also did a limited cyctoscopy to make sure my bladder was fine. I got a free dilation....woo hoo. Anyway, my stomach is so swollen and I know it is from the gas...it just won't come out. Any helpful hints?

Gas-X of course, and mint tea. And not eating broccoli or beans, etc.

I've been craving those wintergreen lozenges like Brach's used to make, and didn't know why until I found some made by another company today. They really settle my stomach.
