Weight Gain/Loss?

What a wonderful site! I am so new to this internet stuff so bare with me if I'm not doing something right! My question is about weight gain or loss after a TAH. I am scheduled for my surgery the 11th of this month and am worried sick about putting on more weight. I know I must diet and exercise but is it harder to get the weight off post TAH? I plan on joining my local YMCA as soon as I am out of "danger" of hurting something??? I'll be 40 very soon too. I'm having a TAH because of Fibroids - heavy bleeding. Weight gain is always a concern. I did lose weight ( 12 pounds)

It's important to eat smartly whenever possible. Exercise helps too of course. Each gal is different though. Some gain weight and others lose. Just depends on your body.

Hysteritaville Forum may be helpful to you. They talk lots about food and exercise in that forum.
