Is low estrogen making it worse?

Im having trouble keeping estrogen in my body and having all the classic symptoms, hot flashes, anxiety etc,and was wondering if anyone had better results using nothing at all?
Seems when I try to add more (bio-est) cream, my symptoms get worse?

thanks

Is low estrogen making it worse?

Gursie,

Have you tried other ways of getting estrogen? Not all the methods work well for everyone, and sometimes it takes a little trial and error to find the right method for you.

For example. I tried the biest cream, and I just wasn't able to absorb it the way I needed to for obtimal benefit. My pharmacist switched me to a troche and it has worked very well for me.

Hot flashes are caused by fluctuatin hormones. It doesn't necessarily mean that you have either too much or too little, just that they are fluctuating. The anxiety can be caused by caused by a few different things. I feel anxious when my estrogen is too high, or if it drops too low. Some women are able to feel better with a little progesterone added to their mix.

Have you spoken with your Dr and pharmacist? What do they say? I was just looking back over some of your past posts, and you seem to have other medical issues that may need some special attention with regards to HRT. Sometimes when we have other medical problems, it takes even longer to find the HRT and dose that works best for us. I have been working towards balance for about 2 1/2 years, and I think that I may have finally found it.

Do you allow yourself 6 weeks before any change or tweaking? that is also very important.

s,
Kay

Is low estrogen making it worse?

Hi Kay,

Everytime I get my estro levels checked, they are in the 20's. I put the patch on and I got it up to 71, but felt extremely ill with it, and had more symptoms than ever. Im not sure if all the estrogen products are causing some of my problems either...Yes, have medical issues (Severe sjogrens and lupus) that is making it impossible also. I also tried a low dose Premarin pill and thought I was going to die...Im thinking of trying
the Estrace next? Praying I will be able to tolerate something soon.
Thanks for your info...
