What's in store for me?

Hubby and I have planned a trip months ago to go with a group of friends to Vegas. My OB/GYN decided on friday she needs to do a biopsy of my uterus. The only day she can do it is this Wednesday and we leave for Vegas on Thursday. This will be done in the hospital via a D&C. I'm having surgery on September 28th unrelated to my female problems and she said it had to be done before that surgery. (Don't know why since it's unrelated.) Aside from feeling like I'll be having a really bad period (who hasn't traveled with one of those) what should I be prepared for?

What's in store for me?

I had a D&C along with a polopectomy and hysteroscopy before my hyst. I was pretty sore for a few days but not actually bedridden. Some of the pain was from the polopectomy, of course. I did have some bleeding for a couple of weeks & needed pads for that ( dr said no tampons ).

Have you told your dr about the planned trip to Vegas and asked for advice?
I think that you should also let your DH know that you might possibly tire easily and need to rest from time to time.

What's in store for me?

I have had a biopsy and a d&c but not on the same day. Hmmm,,wish I could help more.

I would call the doctor office and ask them if there will be any reasons as to why you couldn't travel.

I know after I had my D&C after the birth of my son I felt better! I was having lots of cramping and passing clots, after the D&C it all stopped or slowed down considerably. I was recovering from birth so I still didnt' have much energy.

Geez, not sure what to tell you. Just going from experience here, hopefully another sister will come along who has been through this.
