Last chemo and 3 more rads left

I am celebrating my last day of chemo hopefully for my entire life. Only 3 more radiation treatments left. I have my pb&j sandwhich and banana and reading material ready.

It really hasn't been too awful. I am just now getting my first side effects of numbness and tingling toes and fingers and fatigue. It seems do-able from here. Anyone awaiting this treatment do not fear. If I can do it you can too.

Yaaaaaaay! Your last chemo; sounds like a reason to celebrate to me. I'm so glad it's nearly over for you. May you dance with NED forever.

Hugs,

Congrats you made it through! Time does go quickly. Glad to hear it was not too awful.

As for myself, I am finally able to eat food, but my stomach feels very sore........ and of course Mr Cancerhead has me concerned about what I am feeling. I have a rad/dr appt on the 25th and I am hoping for the best.....

Last chemo and 3 more rads left

My experience was that the neuropathy got worse after treatment, a couple of months after treatment ended was the worst. My gyn/onc said that was not unusual with cisplatin. He told me to take B vitamins, B2, B6, and B12, 50mg, each day. He said it would take a while but those vitamins would help speed the nerves to heal. After a month on the vitamins I began to notice a difference but it took many more months to completely heal, maybe a year.

Best to you and Congratulations!

Never fear NED is here

I saw his name in my chart. The only residual from the chemo rads is neuropathy very minor left sole of the foot and fatigue. The radiation dept gave me a certificate of completion and hugs today. Tonight my mom made me a special old fashioned dinner.

Thank you to my sisters,
ijkh

So glad you're almost done!!
No more chemos, and only 3 more radiations!!
Woo-Hoo!!
It's time to get on with the rest of your life!!

I just had my 2 month post visit with my radiation therapist, and all is good!

Sunrise, I couldn't get away from cancerhead for awhile after treatment, but he's beginning to fade.
I was actually looking forward to my doctor visit (weird, I know) but I guess I wanted to hear him say everything was ok.

Good luck to both of you!!!
