Vaginal lubricant

Ok, here is my question?

The pills that you insert into vagina, I can see how those work.

The lubricant,
Do you put the lubricant on your husband's penis. Do you also put it around your vagina opening? Do you put any inside your vagina also?

Forgot to ask Dr at today's apt.

Read the back of a couple of lubricants and they say ,,put inside and outside of condom, and at opening of vagina.

I'm not sure if I want this type or the pill insert?

It seems like the pill insert will allow more spontaneity.

But I really dont like the ideal of inserting a pill which will dissolve inside.

I guess I might need to incorporate the lubricant into our forplay.

Vaginal lubricant

I checked on the internet.

Lubricant can be applied on penis, externally and internally for vagina.

Now what brand do you all like?

I'm sensitive to perfumes and dyes, so can not try any flavor kind.

Vaginal lubricant

I use K-Y lubricant but I find it kind of sticky so will likely try Astroglide next.
I also use K-Y silk as a daily moisturizer.

Vaginal lubricant

(((lyb))) I use Vagifem, which I assume is the "pill" you were referring to. It's a very tiny tablet that is inserted in the vagina with a very slim applicator. It's not a lubricant; it's bio-identical estradiol (estrogen), which helps your vagina stay moist and elastic and able to self-lubricate. It is not used before or during sex, but regularly at bedtime. Typically you use it nightly for a week or so and then once or twice a week after that to maintain vaginal health.

Lubricants, on the other hand, are used during sex. They can be applied to either you or your partner or both. Astroglide is a good one that is available at stores like Target and major drugstore chains. If the vagina is healthy, you may or may not need a lubricant during sex. However, if your vagina is dry and atrophying from not getting enough estrogen, a lubricant isn't going to be enough to make it feel better. In fact, it may feel like it's stinging when you apply it to severely dry tissues.

I'd ask your DR if/how he or she wants you to use Vagifem. Then using or not using a lubricant is up to you and your partner.

I hope this helps.

Vaginal lubricant

I use Premarin vaginal cream twice a week. I used it nightly for 6 weeks, per dr. orders. He said it helps heal the vaginal tissue and helps "beef up" vaginal walls. I have had NO problem with lubrication during sex, and I think that the cream could have something to do with it. I have a sample of astroglide to use if needed, but so far haven't needed it. Good luck.

Thanks for the replies.

We tried astroglide last night. I was too nervous to even enjoy myself. Not even sure if I needed astroglide, I just used it to make sure I was moist.

Dr said no HRT until 6 months.
