Wink - Freaking Out!!!! Freaking Out!!!!

Hey Michelle35,

No, I was suppose to hear from the Doctor today; however, I have not heard from him yet! I am going to give him until tomorrow afternoon and if I don't hear anything I will call him that evening. I understand that they are busy, but I can not stand the waiting game. I need to prepare my family for the surgery and get things worked out at work. I want to know what they are going to do! He did say surgery, but, I don't know what type of surgery he is talking about. I am so happy about being cancer free, that is one worry that I don't have cry about, but I need to know what is next.

Freaking Out!!!!

If it were me, I'd call for an appointment. You are going to feel better with a face to face discussion. In the meantime, I advise writing down your questions (anything you can think of).

I'm praying for you!

Freaking Out!!!!

YES!!! Doctor had the nurse call me back this morning (the nurse apologized because she missed the note inside the file for her to set up an appointment ASAP with me for decision on treatment). The appointment is set for next Thursday the 11th of October. He also had her call in a prescription for Darvocet for me! I googled it and saw that it could be addictive! What do you know of it?? I DO NOT want to be dependent on any drugs! I use to take Naproxine (sp) for the pain is it the same? If so than I can deal with the Darvocet.

Freaking Out!!!!

I am glad you have an appointment this week and I hope your doctor is able to answer all of your questions!

With regard to the pain meds being addictive, I can share with you what my doctor has told me: If you use meds for pain and not when you don't have pain, you won't become addicted to them. If you use them when you are not having pain, then addiction can be an issue.

I have taken several different medications that can be addictive with no problems!

Best wishes to you and do keep us posted!
