Who has already had post op visits??

At what intervals are every one having postop visits? I don't have one until my 6 wk. My doc did both my c sections and this surgery and she said she felt confident that I would do fine since I kind of knew what to expect as far as pain and recovery but to call and come in if something felt wrong. Am I the only one. I was just wondering, seems like everyone is having 2 wk post op appts. I must say this is more painful than the c sections. I guess with a c section, you push your pain to the side to care for the baby and with a hyster, you have nothing to focus on but pain!

I had a 2 week and a 6 week poat op.
At my 2 week he just asked me how I was doing.
At 6 weeks he just released me no check up.

If you feel like you are having problems call your DC.

I only had one at 6 weeks.
No internal exam though.
Just asked questions and checked my abdomen and incision.

I had my first one at 6 days and another scheduled for 5 weeks. Then she wants to see me at 6 months. She didn't do much at 6 days. Just checked my incisions and asked me questions.

Just had my 2 week check-up today, the doc just checked my incisions and asked how I was doing, told me about my path report and asked if I had any questions. She wants to see me again in 2 weeks.

LSH, ovary removed, fibroids and endo.

I had a two week post op with an internal and was told I didn't need to come back for a year.

I went in at two weeks to have the staples out, then again at six weeks to be released for work, but he's having me back at 8 weeks because of the seroma and a small healing issue with the cuff. Seven weeks out I still can't have a proper bath (and that's not all I can't have!! Grrrrr),

He checked my incision at two weeks, did an internal exam at six weeks, and said he'd see me in a year.

I was back in a week out to get my staples out, then I have a four week check next thursday. I think every doc is different. It sounds like yours is on top of it.

I had an incision check at 2 weeks. We also talked about my path report, how much/how little pain I was having, etc.
I just had my 6 week yesterday & she did an internal exam. She said the cuff was completely healed & that my incision was also. I don't need to go back for 6 months.
