Recovering & Single

Single and came home to my empty house. I loved it that way. Parents were 6 miles away and offered to take care of me but it would have been too stressful. DD (darling dog) was away at camp for a week...I picked him up at the one week mark.

DC = Dear Cats??? :-D

My two furbabes stayed at the wonderful cat boarding kennel where I used to work.

I was at my mom's for about a week after the surgery...and kitties and I came home about 10 days after my surgery. Mom carried the carrier - each kitty is about 14 lbs!

I sure loved that one pure week of being at home with my kitties, puttering with my plants...and being just able to scoop the litterbox and keep it clean! NB - I don't use clumping litter, but think it would have been MUCH heavier to deal with.

Hope your recovery goes well. Do you have a friend or two to shop for you - or are you up to driving now?

Recovering & Single

I'm single, too, with a 22 y/o DD.

DD was the best. She's a lot like me in that she doesn't like to be fussed over, so she managed to strike just the perfect balance between being there when I needed her and letting me rest when I needed to do that.

She stayed at the house with me for the first week, but was gone at work each day, and I did fine with just the dog and cat.
