Results of ultrasound

I went in for an ultrasound on July 5th and had it done and over with. I waited for 4 days before phoning in. Saw the GYN. He said that there is nothing wrong. Can't see anything. Told me it has to be a weak abdominal wall. I told him that I disagree as I have been riding my bike, walking, dancing, and can do situps so don't tell me it is weak. I also mentioned to him that my good old GP in Vancouver thought that the endo is back. Well, he disagree as, of course, he cleaned it all in Sept. 2000. He thinks that I should go for the physiotherapy. I asked him how is that supposed to help if the endo is back or even adhesions? You should of seen his face. He said that he can send me to a General Surgeon and he will look at the file and send it back to him again. I will be going around in circles. He literally tossed my file on his desk and scoffed. I was starting to feel like this man deserved a big slug in the face. He was quite persisted that I try physio. I told him I will try and if it not any better then I am off to Vancouver to find another dr who can. Grrrrrrrr.... Yes I am keeping my composure. But this Irks me! I guess I will give it a try then its wait and see. I will go down to Vancouver if I have to. Anything is better than here!

Stupid nurses strikes and doctors cutting their hours back making things harder for those who are in need. They think they are doing us a favor????? Ha! Ha! Ha!

Hope you have it better than me?

Dale,

I think you and Gidge should hop on a plane and come to Toronto! I wish it were that simple eh?

I'm so sorry to hear that you are getting the run around and that your gyn treated you this way. My last gyn, although a very respected man in his field, had the bedside manor of a gorilla! I hope you can find a new dr very soon.

I'm not suprised about the ultrasound though...I've had many, and they always show nada (unless I had some cysts) But when they went in to have a look I was loaded with Endo and adhesions...it's a very old technology that is not very reliable for gals like us. Having a strike on top of everything you are going through...

Please know that your sisters on the road are here for you...

Sending you 's

Hey Dale, I think Jude is right, we should hope on a plane and go to Toronto where there isn't a nursing strike!!!

My dr didn't like it when I said I thought my adhesions were back either......they plain don't like to be told what you think is going on, even if it is our bodies and we know them best

All the same at least he is willing to send you to the general surgeon which is something I HAVE NOT acheived as of yet, they've sent me to a gastro guy I see this week to rule out bowel involvement.......which will probably mean more stupid tests I don't need that I will have to wait a year for......and then see the general surgeon!!

So I say go see the general surgeon, this could be your answer....he could get rid of the adhesions and the endo if it's there when he goes in.....unfortunately I think most generals do open surgery ( I could be wrong)as opposed to laprascopic......but I would go see what he/she has to say......and much like myself......give up on the gyn........they seem to have an expiry date

big for ya sister, I know what you're going through!!

Thanks girls! I guess what we need is to go to California and ride on one of those roller coaster that makes our head spin. Maybe that is just the medicine we all need!

Big to you all,
Dale

Dale,
Can I come too? I had an ultrasound about a month ago and my results were as follows: you have no uterus and no ovaries. Duh! Like I didn't know that! When I think of it now though it really does make me Oh, the stupidity.

Anyways, I just wanted to stop by and wish you luck and offer some and I hope you find some answers soon.

I guess I was lucky with the 2nd gyn in some respects. She and her DH were endo experts and she told me BEFORE the U/S that adhesions and endo would not show up unless they were extensive. When I had it done they too said "there has been a hysterectomy" They are brilliant these radiographers
When I had the lap done they found a huge cyst on L ovary and also that it was stuck to my vaginal cuff where the first gyn closed. They had to do the transvaginal to look at the left ovary but even though they looked and looked and said things like "have you had any other abdominal surgery besides the hyst?" (which I hadn't) - they found absolutely nothing wrong. Had to help me off the table and worried about me getting home - but no - nothing was wrong - GRRRR. At least my doc followed it up.

{{Dale}},
I have had many normal test results also and until they went in they didnt realize the extent of damage done in there Hang in there and be persistent in your search for answers to your pain. We women have that special intuition and KNOW when something isnt right!

Can you all pick me up in TN too??
