Belly Button pain?

I had a TAH/RSO about 2-1/2 months ago and recovery has gone extremely well for me. I am still easily exhausted, and have a bit of a swelly belly when I overdo it.

But what is bothering me, is a new pain just below my belly button. My incision was a horizontal (hip to hip).... no incisions near my belly button. So the pain confuses me. I do not feel a lump or hardening like scar tissue, or do I feel anything that resembles a hernia.

Anybody have any ideas?

Belly Button pain?

Hello. I had belly button issues, but I had a lap-assisted hyst, and I know that they went in, for one of the openings, via my belly button. Especially when I have been wearing pants for any length of time, still, I can get this odd pain sensation. Do you know if they went in through your belly button during your surgery? That might be one possibility, if so. Sorry. I know it's not an easy little pain to deal with!

Belly Button pain?

Sherri ~ please let us know what your Dr. says.

blueheron2003 ~ no, I had no enteries through my bellybutton (or anywhere near it).

Lisa ~ I did have my tubes tied a year prior to my TAH and they went in through my belly button. So it is feasible there is scar tissue from that procedure. However, I had no paid until after the TAH. Maybe they did bump around in there and aggitate the old scar tissue???

I do not have anymore follow-up appts, and I know that my Dr. will just tell me that it takes time to heal from this. But i it gets worse, I'll give her a call.
