Bladder sling pain

Me an dh have found what they said is scar tissue. It is this hard , rough, sharp almost platic feeling not tissue feeling right inside the virgina on the top. It is very painful during sex in certain postions. Does this sounds like the bladder sling is eroding?

Bladder sling pain

Meg--

I'm sorry you are having such pain. There really is no way we can diagnose you over the internet, of course. Is the feeling like the rough edge of a window screen? That's what mine felt like.

Have you been recently examined by your Dr.? Is that when you were told it's just scar tissue? If it's been awhile, I'd try to see him/her again and ask specifically if s/he thinks it could be the support mesh or graft eroding through the vaginal wall.

If it's been recent, I'd get another opinion by a UroGYN who has lots of experience in mesh implants and thus likely lots of experience in removing them. I had mesh erosion and 3 mesh removal surgeries plus many in-office snippings that were terribly painful (I don't recommend EVER letting a Dr. do that to you without anesthesia--just say NO). I found experts in removal by calling their offices and asking if the Dr. had experience in removing polypropylene mesh.

I hope you find the help you need...S

What were your symptoms of mesh erosion? I am trying to figure out if that is what is going on with me...

I can only tell you my experience.

I had pain and some bleeding for a day. I felt inside and there was something plasticy, with a sharp edge. I saw the doctor 2 days later and it was mesh.

I hope that isn't what is happening to you! It is really an awful experience.

Hugs to you!

I'm having the same problem, have you gone to see a doc yet? I see a uro/gyn a week from today. He's 2 hours away, yet from what I've read here, you really need that kind of specialist for this.

Please update us as to your progress.

Unhappy - Bladder sling pain Bladder sling pain

I go tomorrow. I have more pain in my rear area. I cannot sit properly or walk to long without being in pain. Could it be protruding through the rectum wall??? I am 3 weeks post op. I know I am still healing, but this is crazy, that I can;t fuction properly, or get back to some what normal way of life. So we will see what the doc has to say this time....

Bladder sling pain

I had rectal pain for quite a while after I had surgery. It was odd, I did tell the doc about it while I was still in the castle. He even did a rectal exam, but said he didn't understand why it hurt. I just figured it was because of all the built up, excess gas air put in for the surgery.

I hope you get a better answer than I did, if so, please share
