Numbness sensation to painful sensation

Hi there,
I have a numbness sensation to the point it becomes painful in my left leg. Makes it very restless. I am 24 days post op. I am scheduled to go back to work part time tomorrow.
Has anyone had this problem and what could it be?
Thanks
tam

Yes I went thru that very same thing. Belly and hip/thigh/leg was numb. Drove me nuts cuz it was a weird numb, had pain and itching.. but when I itched it I couldn't feel myself scratching it.. lol ! Very bizarre.

At 7 months that is starting to go away. I read that its caused by nerve damage, more than likely because of the way your laying during the surgery on the Op table. Rarely its because they damaged a nerve, I freeked thinking I would always have the numbness but its almost all the way gone now. I can feel about 80% of what I did before surgery.

So give it time to heal, if its still bothering you months after then I would def talk to your Doc about it.

Thanks, that helps a lot. I know it is not a blood clot or anything because there is no tenderness, swelling or redness.
Thanks for your input!

I am going thru the same thing right now, and I am 7 months post op. Mine has not gotten any better..in fact, it's gotten worse. Doc have put me on lots of different nerve pain medications w/no relief.. I hope yours goes away sooner!!! I'm going back to the dr again today.
