Hospital bill

My bill was 71,000!!! Da vinci surgery. 3 nites in hospital.. all billed to insurance comapany.
We dont know how much we will pay.. maybe just the co-pay for $250.
I was shocked at the price.. but 7 hours in surgery room. Da Vinci surgery robotic is very expensive.
did not know I was having this till day before?
My doctor is not very communicative..sorry to say.

Oh, my gosh, what part of the country to you live in? I live in Kansas. And I had the Da Vinci surgical robot and blood transfusions and my hospital bill is only $35,000.00 that seems crazy to me, I to was in 3 nights, then was re-admitted for 2 more nights, the $35,000 is all inclusive, 5 nights, hospital bill, O.R. fee, respitory therapy, Cat Scans, Lab and anethesia....

I know I keep seeing all the bill costs and wow. Everything all together (Dr. visits, 3 nights in hosp, lab tests, ultra sounds, Ect) was 18,000 before insurance. I had to pay around 2,000. TAH.

Hospital bills!

I just started receiving EOB for my TAH and stay at the castle. The cost for everything (2night stay, TAH, MD visits, anastheologist, labs draws and such) were right around $24,000. Since I work at the hospital where I had my surgery, I only had to pay a $100 copay and the rest was payed by the insurance (a perk added to our health benefit to entice employees to utilize our own health system). I was totally fine with having my surgery where I work, because I was in a totally different department from where I work normally. So, my friends/co workers could just be my friends and not my caretakers. I have been at the hospital where I work for so long that I know almost everyone, so they were all just wonderful to me.

I am now almost 5 weeks post op and I have turned the corner on how I feel. Starting to get my strength back and feel almost "normal".

Hospital bills!

I had <Oops! No insurance names as per the site TOS> insurance at the time. I was scared that it wouldn't pay, but it did! I was left owing about $ 1,200 to the hospital, and $ 800.00 to the Dr.

My bill was up there too. I had them do a breakdown of what I was charged and it was ridiculous. It cost $60.00 for just two pain pills.

Hospital Bill

I was lucky. I paid for the more expensive insurance policy at work and it covered everything except for my co-pay of $250.00

Hospital bills!

I had my LAVH on October 20 in Thailand, I was in hospital for 4 nights and had to also come under the care of a hemotologist as a precaution due to a previous DVT. My total bill (doctors, surgery, meds, hospital room, nursing care and even meals) came to $5,000 of which my insurance has already paid everything bar $300. I can't believe how expensive it was for you guys in the States. I have been in hospital in the States on several occasions and I can honestly say the level of care and expertise is just as good if not better here in Thailand.
I hope the financial burden does not hinder your recovery process too much.

Hospital bills!

I am a bit stunned by this thread. I live in Canada and it's just not a worry for which I am very very thankful. . .I would have an even harder time if I had these enormous bills to deal with.

's to everyone who has to fight with their insurance agencies. . .I hope it all works out!
