Prayer request

Hi,
I'm new to this forum but know it is the place I need to be. Friday I met with a doc and scheduled surgery for Nov 19th - TAH/BSO. May I open my heart a bit to share a few requests?

I will be off of work for 8 weeks w/o pay. My employer has a system in place in which other employees can donate accrued paid leave which will be translated into pay. This is an anonymous program and sometimes folks have been overwhelmed by the response, sometimes folks have received relatively little. This is a humbling, albeit necessary thing for me to become the anonymous employee needing help. Would you pray that God would work in the hearts of others to donate? 8 weeks is a long time, but I know that God is able. My faith is about to be stretched...big time.

Also, I am single and live alone. I've been a caregiver to others for almost 30 years - the last 20 of which was to my disabled mom. The idea of needing someone to now care for me is so foreign, and quite honestly, rather scarey. I am such a private person that this will be a very, very difficult transition. Please pray that I'll be able to figure out the best way to handle this. By reading the other posts I recognize I absolutely cannot do this alone. Please don't misunderstand, I have a lot of friends willing to help, so that is not the issue. The issue is ME being able to allow them to help me. Can anyone relate?

Of course with all this waiting there is an emotional response and I am dealing with that like everyone else... one day at a time. My prayer for all of us is that we will be aware of God's embrace as He carries us through the difficult days ahead and brings us to the other side of these trials stronger and healthier. Heavenly Father, we are lifting up sojourner to you, she will be having surgery soon, she will be off from her job, we know that you will supply her needs according to your will, put your tender loving arms around her, help her to trust that you will provide for her needs, ease her stress, anxiety, give her your understanding, guidance and inner peace, in your gracious name, Amen.

May God's Spiritual love be your source of strength.

You are in my prayers. I'm going to be off work for 6 to 8 weeks as well and my income is our main income. I'm only a week into my recovery and it's going to be tight money wise. We just have to have faith that God will provide us all our needs and He does.
My prayer for you is that God will lift you up and provide for you those needs and send someone to you to help you during this time and they take good care of you. I pray that you find the comfort and care you need. Know this, you have many sisters here that are great prayer warriors and we're here for you.
May you find rest and comfort in God's unfailing love. God is so good!!
