Anybody released for EVERYTHING 4 wks post op?

I just had a 2 wk post op appt for Total hysterectomy LAVH on Oct. 8th. Dr. was going to release me to go back but I have to move files from LARGE filing cabinets. Otherwise he would release me to go back just to be on safe side. He said I have to come back in two weeks for vaginal exam & then I could be totally released! I said sex & everything. He said YES! I was shocked. Husband not happy about the two weeks but glad it's going to be two weeks before he gets the real thing! I'm scared but excited! Any tips on what to do for 1st time & what to do for me since I've been cleared to drive but not work! I'm bored out of my mind & BROKE AS CAN BE!! Hospital bills haven't come in yet! I think I'll be in hospital from heart attack for those! HA!! HA!!

I had my four week check up today after a TAH. My doctor released me for EVERYTHING today too. Even work!??!!? I can't believe after major invasive surgery I'm released for work..the heck with the sex..it's the work part I'm hung up on. All I do is sit in a chair all day and lift some files. But I don't need the stress. It's crazy.
I feel your pain!

I can't even believe 2 or 4 weeks back to work. I had my surgery on September 11 and when I went in for my 6 week Thursday, I told him I wasn't ready to go back. I was still in pain and some issues with my bladder, he said I can take another 2 weeks. So I don't go back until November 6.
Heck, I don't really want to go back then, because my job told me, when to have my bags packed because they were going to have me start travelling.
