bright red bleeding 2 weeks post op ~ hematoma?

I really need to find someone who has had what I have. My dr says never dealt with this before and I feel like I need a 2nd opinion. I had a vaginal hyst and was fine (no bleeding) until 2 weeks post op. The bleeding started with literally a rush of bright red blood (lots) and then slowed down for a few days to a dark red color. Then it happened again - quick flood of blood. Went to dr - was told it was a hemotomea and I might need surgery again to seal off the vessels that are bleeding. Then my dr said lets just wait and see if it stops on its own. I am so confused - I just want to know what it is and how to fix it. Now it is small amounts of dr red blood but no rush of blood since Monday night. Anyone else with these problems?

Sorry you are dealing with this. I have an internal hematoma that is causing me grief. We are waiting for now also. Good luck.

What are they saying about your internal hematoma? Is it bleeding out? Does it hurt? Are they doing surgery?

Well it stopped bleeding but we are waiting to see if it will dissolve on its own or they have to remove it. It hurts like heck. It is on my right side and if I move a certain way it feels like I am getting stabbed in the gut. I hope you feel better soon.
