Question - Deodorant post radiation? Deodorant post radiation?

I'd like to know if it's okay to start using deodorant again, now that my rad treatments are over. I Wasn't allowed to use any for the 5 weeks of treatment but how soon can I start using it without irritating the skin.

Deodorant post radiation?

Hi Mori,

I would give your doctor office a call. I am sure they would not mind answering this for you.

Have a great day!

Deodorant post radiation?

I have been using deodorant after all with no problems......my skin is really healing nicely, my Flamazine cream worked miracles & using Aveeno as well. Thanks for your reply.....I see the doctor on Tuesday for my 3 week post rad. follow-up.

Deodorant post radiation?

Ingredients in some deodorants are showing up in breast tumors, and it is thought that there might be a connection with B.C. I use a herbal deodorant (formulated from essential oils) which was recommended by my ob/gyn doc. It's called "Keeping Abreast of it" -- it stimulates the lymphatic system and encourages breast health. One place it's available from is http://store.simplydivinebotanicals.com/ It's not that expensive, and very pleasant to use. Having had B.C., I figure why take chances with pharmaceutical products?
